The Festival is being organised by Beverley & Sarah Milner Simonds - local residents who are passionate about celebrating the best of the West Country's food and drink producers. The event is being run on a not for profit basis.

"We have found living in Burnham on Sea that we are surrounded by fabulous food producers - farmers, gardeners, delicatessens, cider makers, wine makers, foragers and hunters. This is where we find some of the best of the west and we want to celebrate it. Making the most of fresh, natural, seasonal food means that we can support our high street, cut down our carbon footprint and get back to enjoying food and drink for the right reasons. We all got to eat - we think that by caring about where our food comes from and how it is produced we can improve our environment and our health at the same time.

We were thrilled by the feedback and enthusiasm of visitors and traders at the 2012 festival and we hope we can learn from this experience and but on two great Festivals in 2013.

We are very keen to encourage other interested people to get involved. The success of the food festival depends largely on the engagement with local community as visitors, participants and volunteers."
